Who is entitled to the 2023 daycare bonus? Requirements and amounts
The amount is disbursed until funds are exhausted - which overall amount to around 550 million euros for the current year - and is due to Italian citizens residing in Italy or in one of the European countries or to non-EU citizens with a residence permit, even if not permanent. The bonus cannot be combined with the tax deduction provided for by article 2, paragraph 6, of the law of 22 December 2008. Instead it is with theuniversal single check for the children and with the corporate welfare.
The reimbursement on the tuition varies according to the ISEE, following three brackets:
- up to €3.000 a year (distributable in a maximum of 11 months, equal to approximately 270 euros per month) for households with ISEE under 25 thousand euros;
- 2.500 € per year (about 227 euros per month) for households with ISEE between 25.000 and 40 euros;
- the minimum: 1.500 euro per year (about 136 euros per month) if the ISEE exceeds 40 euros or if the updated ISEE is not presented.
Nest bonus 2023: how to apply
Applications are already open and there is time until 31 December 2023. However, it should be remembered that the amount is disbursed until funds are exhausted (which amount to around 550 million euros for the year 2023).
The application for the nursery bonus can be made through one of the following methods:
- online directly to INPS with the usual credentials: SPID or CIE or National Services Card (CNS) in the appropriate section called "Nursery bonus and home support";
- phone with the Integrated Contact Center – toll-free number 803.164 (free from a fixed network) or number 06 164.164 (from a paid mobile network);
- through the institutions of patronage who enter the application on the INPS website on behalf of the parents.
Once logged in, you need to specify:
- what form of facilitation is requested;
- details of the structure attended by the child and the monthly payments for which the contribution is requested;
- the methods of payment;
- the declaration of responsibility connected to the use of the ISEE for minors.
The necessary documentation
In case the applicant intends to access the nursery bonus it must be attached la documentation which demonstrates the payment of at least the fee for at least one month or the enrollment or successful inclusion in the ranking of the child. And also any medical certification from the pediatrician certifying the pathology of the minor, in the case of home care. Until at least one document is attached, the application will not be sent to INPS for registration.
All must be attached invoices or receipts that prove the payments of the fees already completed: the deadline for proceeding with the transmission of the invoices is 31 July 2024.
And who has already benefited from the bonus in 2022?
For this category everything is simpler: the requests are already there prebuilt and it will be sufficient to enter the certificate of enrollment and attendance to apply. It will be necessary to confirm or modify the data and specify the monthly payments for 2023 in relation to the contribution. Once the request has been sent, it is possible to follow the application process from the INPS online service.
Some clarifications from INPS
The institute also specifies that the benefit is due for each child aged between 0 and 36 months; if the minor for whom the application is to be submitted turns three years of age in 2023, it will only be possible to request the months between January and August. Furthermore, "in the case of adoptions or pre-adoptive assignments, the more favorable date between the adoption provision and the date of entry into the family of the minor will be taken into consideration, provided that it is after 1 January 2016".
When does the payment arrive? Once the application has been accepted and only after having uploaded all the invoices, can payment be obtained. Please note that payments of nursery school bonus 2022 they started from 29 September 2022 (for the months from January to May 2022) and from 25 October 2022 and continued for the following months.
