Bonucci at Milan is official: goodbye Juve after 6 championships

Now it's official: Leonardo Bonucci, defender of the national team and until yesterday among the leaders of the Juventus locker room, the team with which he won six consecutive championships, is a Milan player. The 30-year-old from Viterbo arrived at Casa Milan at lunchtime, where hundreds of fans were waiting for him ready to celebrate him: a deal that until a few hours ago seemed incredible then materialized with the signing of the contract which will link Bonucci to the AC Milan club for 5 years with a salary of 7,5 million net per season (+2,5 bonus).

Bonucci will wear the number 19 shirt, as per Juventus and Azzurri tradition: it is the number chosen years ago with his motivator Alberto Ferrarini. With Juventus, now the central defender's former team, the deal was closed on the basis of 40 million (+2 bonus), with no technical counterparts (Milan's first offer had been around 30-35 million plus possibly Mattia De Sciglio's price tag). Bonucci also asked and obtained to be the captain.

The defender, esteemed by half of Europe and in recent months also very close to Manchester City and Chelsea, leaves Juve after a triumphal cycle made up of 6 championships, 3 Italian Cups, 3 Italian Super Cups and two Champions League finals. That this is not a very happy day for Juventus is also shown by the performance of the stock on the Stock Exchange, which is evidently affected by the heavy sale: after the ride on shares in the first months of 2017, which in parallel with the victories on the field bringing the title to be worth almost one euro in May, today around mid-afternoon the loss is more than 3% at 0,5615 euros.
