Bologna/ Amarena Fabbri celebrates its first 100 years with an exhibition

The exhibition, set up with freshness, with simplicity in quality, with a pinch of playfulness, with a Family cut for families, must be an opportunity to relive one's personal and family memories through Amarena.

Bologna/ Amarena Fabbri celebrates its first 100 years with an exhibition

Nothing dressed up or blatantly advertising, but a happy moment of confirmation and certainty. The certainty that when there is Amarena there is true empathy and nothing, in times of technological loneliness, can be more coveted than the beautiful normality of serenely sharing a small, great pleasure.

Fabbri has recently celebrated its first hundred years. But the true celebration of the "century together" rather than the bureaucratic reality, the completion of the century by notarial deed, must be linked to the product which for the public is the symbol of Fabbri in the world, unquestionably the Amarena.

The Caroselli, the advertisements, the famous vases: frames of a story that belongs to everyone.

Not just "Amarcord". But also blacksmiths in the world today, from Bologna to the five continents, a great story of Italian success. Made of tradition and the ability to always look ahead, of pride and initiative. Of the ability to exploit the heritage of the past, to grasp the present and anticipate the future.

With an open mind. The same which led Fabbri to be ahead of his time by choosing Guttuso and Capogrossi as his testimonials and which recently gave birth to the Fabbri Prize for contemporary art. This year, not surprisingly, all female, from the artists to the curator.

“The artists were asked to think up a work that was in some way – but each in its own way – connected to the history of Fabbri, says Lea Mattarella who is the artistic coordinator of the Prize. “For some time now we have been talking about art and food, a combination that certainly offers great suggestions. The Fabbri Art Prize discovered them ten years ago. This time we have reached the fifth edition. And together with the company, we wanted to decline it from her side”.

And the works selected for the 2015 Fabbri Prize enter as protagonists in the great exhibition for the hundred years of Amarena. On the contrary, they compose a real exhibition within the exhibition, to unite art strictly understood, with another extraordinary art: that of the good life, of which Amarena Fabbri, for a hundred years, has been a small, wonderful ingredient.
