BoJ does not warm up the markets: Piazza Affari flat

Japanese stimuli to the economy do not warm up the Stock Exchanges - Piazza Affari slightly positive, better than the other European lists - Up Luxottica (+2,65%), AnsaldoSts (+1,64%) and Fiat (+2,56%) – Banks down and sales on TI Media (-10,18%) – Rcs still on the rise – Spread at 330, with yields on ten-year BTPs just under 5%.

The stock exchanges are proceeding at a slow trot, positive signals are coming from the public debt. Thus the script of the last few sessions was repeated: the Ftse Mib index closed in slightly positive territory (+0,15%) as did London (+0,35%) and Paris (+0,54%), Frankfurt rose in 0,59%.

The most positive notes come from sovereign debt. This morning's German two-year government bond auction saw a yield of 0,06% set. It has returned above "zero" for the first time since June and only 4,084 billion of the proposed 5 billion have been placed on the market.

Portugal, one of the countries commissioned by the EU, is breathing: 2 billion bonds have been placed between 6 and 18 months, well over the 1,75 billion expected, with an 18-month yield falling to 2,967% from 4,537% in April and requests 2,4 times. Meanwhile, the yield on the Greek 20-year bond falls below XNUMX%, for the first time since the beginning of May.

Finally, in Italy, the 10-year BTP/Bund spread remains around 330 basis points for a 10-year BTP yield of just under 5%.

Caution also on US stock exchanges: the Nasdaq falls by 0,2%, the Dow Jones is on parity.

The effect of the monetary policy measures surprisingly announced during the night by the Japanese Central Bank is already behind us, announcing the 10.000 billion yen enhancement of its asset purchase programme, thus rising to 80.000 billion.

The data on the real estate market in chiaroscuro weigh more. In August, 750 new homes were built in America, an increase of 2,3% compared to 733 in the previous month. The figure is lower than the expectations of analysts who indicated 767 constructions.

The descent of oil continues with the WTI at 93,8 dollars a barrel (-1,6%).

Piazza Affari the banks remain weak: Unicredit loses 0,11%, Understanding slightly above parity (+0,24%), Banco Popolare -1,95% Popular Milan -1,88%. They do worse MontePaschi -3,46% Ubi -2,24%, and Mediobanca -2,22%. 

Positive stocks include utilities: Enel + 1,02% Atlantia +0,4% and Snam +1,29% .The best blue chip is Luxottica +2,65%, thanks to the judicious start of hedging by Berenberg buy and a target of 31 euros.

Among the industrial stocks they stand out Fiat +2,56% and Ansaldo +1,64%. Sharply descending StM -2,02%.

Even today Rcs it was suspended due to an excessive increase. Mediaset drops by 3,05%, Telecom Italy Media -10,18%. 

Among the small caps, Prelios flies up 8%. Tomorrow is the date for submitting offers for the real estate company.
