Benetton sells 9,18% of Autogrill and 9,15% of Wdf, shares collapse on the Stock Exchange

The operation, aimed at institutional investors, aims to increase the liquidity of the two shares, which this morning collapsed in Piazza Affari – Schematrentaquattro, a company wholly owned by the Edizione srl of the Benetton family, will maintain control of both Autogrill and Wdf, holding the 50,1% of the capital of each of the two companies.

Il 9,18% of Autogrill and 9,15% Wdf change hands. The sale was initiated by Pattern thirty-four, a wholly owned subsidiary of the family Edizione srl Benetton. This morning the shares of the two investee companies sank in Piazza Affari, suffering the two worst falls of the Ftse Mib: Autogrill -6,77%, World Duty Free -5,14%.

The transaction will take place through an accelerated book building procedure reserved for institutional investors. “The company reserves the right to close the placement at any time,” reads the note from the holding company. 

Schematrentaquattro has undertaken a lock-up commitment relating to the shares of Autogrill and Wdf, which will remain its property for 180 days at the end of the operation. The sale aims to increase the liquidity of the two securities. 

Schematrentaquattro will maintain control of both Autogrill and Wdf, holding 50,1% of the share capital of each of the two companies.
