New record for ECB overnight deposits at 827,534 billion euros, after the peak of 820,819 billion reached on Friday. This was announced by the European Central Bank itself, specifying that the high level of overnight deposits reflects the excess liquidity in the euro area banking system, after the ECB's maxi liquidity injection over three years for 530 billion. Loans requested by banks increased to 1.354 million from 783 million on Friday.
