Broadband: vouchers for families and businesses are arriving

On Monday, in the Council of Ministers, the Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning (CIPE) approved a resolution that completes the design of the Ultra-Broadband Plan.

The funds amount to a total of 3,4 billion, of which 2,1 were already on the plate to finance interventions in the so-called "grey areas" (i.e. where there is a single network operator and it is unlikely that a single network operator will be installed in the near future). other network) and 1,3 were released yesterday for interventions to support user demand, especially for families.

To implement this last point of the plan, actual vouchers will be developed in the coming months that citizens will be able to spend to promote connection to ultra-broadband.

It will be a one-off contribution which should be around 10 euros per company and 150 euros for families. Vouchers designed to facilitate the connection of 39 thousand schools are also arriving.

In recent days, some Regions have asked for guarantees from the government on the criteria and methods for assigning vouchers.
