Banco Bpm and Sace, the CDP group company specializing in the insurance-financial sector, together to support medium and large Italian companies. In fact, the collaboration agreement was signed for the offer of new guaranteed loans, also aimed at SMEs that have already used up the ceiling of the Guarantee Fund, to companies in difficulty due to the emergency ongoing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The agreement, which is part of the measures undertaken to transpose and apply, in a rapid and effective manner, what has been established by the recent regulations, in particular by the "Liquidità" Decree, provides for loans at facilitated conditions with pre-amortisation of at least 24 months, an amount not exceeding 25% of revenues or double the cost of labour, both referring to 2019, supported by a guarantee issued by Sace. These amounts are aimed at supporting personnel costs, investments or working capital used in activities in Italy.

By signing this protocol, Banco Bpm further extends the range of instruments capable of ensuring companies, including medium-large ones, the credit flow essential to deal with the effects of the current crisis. In this regard, it should be remembered that Banco Bpm is already disbursing the loans envisaged by the SME Guarantee Fund; for those 100% guaranteed up to a maximum of 25.000 euros, over 28 applications were presented in the first week for an estimated amount of 450 million euros.

At Banco Bpm it also continues customer support activities set up from the onset of the emergency, with the provision of loans of up to 24 months from the "Emergency Liquidity" ceiling of a total of 5 billion euros, dedicated to companies, traders and professionals and to the implementation and implementation of first decree laws such as the Cura Italia Decree of 17 March, supported by functional simplifications to make remote management leaner and more efficient also through digital channels.
