Banca Marche, Mediobanca is looking for partners for a capital increase

Mediobanca look for a banking partner willing to subscribe in part the 300 million capital increase imposed by the Bank of Italy on Banca Marche. In recent weeks, Radiocor learns, a letter signed by the vice president of the institute, Federico Tardioli, was delivered to several institutions with a request to participate in the recapitalization. So far, however, it appears that no one has come forward.

The French track (Bnp or Agricole), indicated by press rumors, appears very difficult at the moment. The Bank, since yesterday in the hands of the new president Rainer Masera, is owned by the Foundations of Jesi, Macerata and Pesaro (over 55% of the capital in three) for some time in conflict (Pesaro against the other two) on the strategic choices of the latter autonomous bank of the region and without resources available for the increase. Intesa Sanpaolo is also a shareholder with a stake of just over 5%, a legacy of San Paolo Imi.
