Banca Imi, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's investment bank led by Gaetano Miccichè, closed the first half of 2012 with a net profit of €401 million. This represents a 37,5% increase compared to the same period a year ago. Net interest and other banking income also posted double-digit growth, reaching €860 million, up 40,3%, and consolidated operating profit, at €683 million, up 51,3%.
