Banca Ifis remains in Italy but the registered office of the Furstembergs goes to Switzerland

Sebastien Egon Furstenberg moves the registered office of the financial company La Scogliera to Lausanne, with which he controls 50,5% of Banca Ifis, which instead remains Italian to all intents and purposes and does not change its presence in our country. This was announced by the Venetian bank, confirming the full implementation of a decision already taken at the shareholders' meeting of 18 June which envisaged the transfer of the registered office of the controlling shareholder but without any alteration of the bank's presence in Italy.

The transfer of the La Scogliera headquarters, which will be paid for by the bank, will be completed by January 2022 and "arises from personal reasons of the President Sebastien Egon Furstenberg" and respects the 2019 promise to avoid the reverse merger of La Scogliera into Banca Ifis with “benefits that the Banca Ifis Group could achieve in line with the focus on long-term growth of the controlling shareholder”.

On the occasion of the presentation of the new 2022-4 business plan in February, the CEO of Banca Ifis, Frederik Geertman, will explain the net benefits and the effects expected from the transfer of the registered office of the controlling shareholder.
