Record collections on Npl portfolios acquired by Banca Ifis. The banking group led by Frederik Geertman closes 2021 with over 3,7 billion non-performing loans, reaching a market share of 52% (34% in 2020), in the unsecured retail and corporate segment, which in 2021 recorded transactions for over 7 billion euros of NPL loans. The Npl portfolio owned by the institute is currently equal to 21,9 billion euros (nominal value) to which must be added 3,4 billion managed on behalf of third parties for a total amount of 25,3 billion euros (nominal value).
It should be remembered that last November Banca Ifis built the largest acquisition of Npl of its history by signing a 2,8 billion euro deal with a Cerberus Capital Management Group company.
The last portfolio acquisition of 2021 was instead completed with Findomestic Bank: over 34 positions, mainly consumer credits referable to personal loans, for a total nominal value of 254 million euro. Furthermore, again in 2021, Banca Ifis assigned loans to specialized operators for a total residual nominal value of over 630 million euro.
