Banca Ifis, Bossi: "Great opportunities from Npl"

(Teleborsa) – Great "opportunities" for Banca IFIS both in the NPL market and in the consultancy activity for SMEs. He said it John Bossi, Chief Executive Officer of Banca IFIS, in an interview given to Teleborsa on the occasion of the Star Conference of Milan.

Strong growth in 2017 for Banca IFIS, an increasingly interesting NPL market, what are the prospects for the near future and, above all, NPL, consultancy for SMEs, what will be the drivers?

"As regards the market for non-performing loans, NPLs, there is a lot of attention and a lot of expectations", said Bossi, recalling that "regulators are pushing for banks to get rid of non-performing loans as quickly as possible and therefore this opens up excellent opportunities for those in this market”.

"We are focus on the unsecured consumer credit part, the most fragile and weakest part. We have one and a half million debtors to follow and accompany carefully towards an improvement in their financial condition. If we can increase our support, we will do so with great interest,” the manager said, stating “a sector that we think can do well. As regards the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector there is a lot to do here too because, on closer inspection, the offer of finance operators to the smallest, most fragile part of small and medium-sized businesses, is very limited and demand is strong and businesses need to be supported. Traditional banks tend to support larger companies, those that need help least, and small ones are more exposed".

"Banca IFIS is a candidate, it has always done so in the last 30 years and is still a candidate for the future in the short, medium and long term in supporting these businesses, in giving them the support they need”.

There seems to have been strong interest from foreign investors in this meeting…

“Today we are seeing 38 funds and more than 50 people, something not seen in recent years”, confirmed the banker, concluding “it seems to me that interest is really very strong, a good sign of attention also towards the country, so good from this point of view, we are very satisfied".
