Bank of Italy, Saccomanni towards second term as general manager

Governor Visco hinted that a second term is looming for the current director general of the Bank of Italy, Fabrizio Saccomanni – “The challenges we are facing, which we will continue to face together, are very demanding” – Saccomanni's mandate which will expire in October will, in all probability, be renewed

A second mandate as general manager is expected for Fabrizio Saccomanni, currently general manager of Via Nazionale and in office until 2012 October XNUMX. Governor Ignazio Visco concluded his questions first “Final considerations” thanking Saccomanni for the contribution made to the institute so far and added: “The challenges we are facing, which we will continue to face together, are very demanding”. 

Saccomanni was also Ignazio Visco's main competitor during the last change at the top of Bankitalia. His mandate as General Manager of Via Nazionale expires in October but Visco has made it clear that it will be renewed.
