While the challenge for the A2a energy management, of which he is chairman of the management board, appears to be uphill, Graziano Tarantini received yesterday the confirmation as president of Banca Akros for another mandate. This was decided by the shareholders' meeting of Akros, the subsidiary of Popolare di Milano to which Tarantini has been dedicated for years.
Akros, together with Popolare di Mantova, is in fact one of the two subsidiaries spared, so to speak, from the reorganization desired by the new CEO Giuseppe Castagna as part of the new business plan. The project plans to absorb into the parent company in Piazza Meda both the online bank Webank (moreover subject to a lengthy inspection by Bank of Italy) and the consumer credit of Profamily so as to create scale synergy and prepare for the bank model of the future.
