In Piazza Affari, the corporate reorganization announced this morning by Autogrill arouses the enthusiasm of investors. Rain of purchases on the stock which, just over an hour after the closing, gains more than 8,2% reaching its intraday highs.
The board of directors “approved the start of a corporate reorganization project, aimed at separating the food & beverage operating activities in Italy and the coordination and service functions carried out in favor of the direct European subsidiaries from the direction and management activities of the group, carried out by the holding company". This is the announcement that triggered the interest of the market.
The operation, it is specified, is “aimed at achieving full consistency and flexibility in the group's organizational and corporate structure”. Not only that: the reorganization "could provide for the transfer of one or more company branches and shareholdings relating to the operating activities, currently carried out directly by Autogrill spa, to one or more existing or newly established wholly owned subsidiaries of the parent company".
