The car market is growing again in August. Last month, registrations were 70.307, for an increase of 1,51% on an annual basis. At the end of July there was a drop of 10,7%. The data was disclosed by the Ministry of Infrastructure through the Civil Motorization. Also in August, there were 257.087 transfers of ownership of used cars, with an increase of 12,25% compared to the same period in 2010. Of the global volume of sales, 21,47% concerned new cars and 78,53. XNUMX% used ones.
If last month was positive for cars in general, it turned out to be a nightmare for Fiat. The Lingotto registered just 20.491 cars, down 3,17% year-on-year. As regards the market share, in the same period the Turin house went from 30,55% to 29,14%.
