Auto Europe: IHS estimates a rise of 5,4% in September, +2% for Fiat

Some calm should have returned in September for the car market in Western Europe (including Switzerland and the Scandinavian countries) with positive effects also for Fiat. This is the comment of Pierluigi Bellini, associate director of IhsGlobal Insight, who spoke to Radiocor.

Bellini estimates an increase in the car market in the region of 5,4% for September with over 1,13 million units and believes that the Fiat group should also record an increase in sales of about 2% in September with almost 63 thousand units, reaching a share of 5,5% (5,7% in September 2012).

In the cumulative, the market does not report positive data. A 4,1% decline is expected in the region with almost 8,78 million sales of the Fiat group, down 3,9% with 552.300 units and a market share of 6,3% (unchanged on the same period in 2012).
