The 20th edition of the Assorel Prize ended today with the Award Gala at the Park Hyatt in Milan, which awarded EDELMAN with the 1st Absolute Prize for the best PR Communication campaign with 'Io non sclero – Stories of projects and dreams that don't stop with multiple sclerosis' for the Biogen customer. The novelty of the 2017 edition is the partnership signed between Assorel and ICCO thanks to which, at the conclusion of the work of the Assorel Award Jury which met on 18 October last, Assorel entered the winning campaign of the 1st Absolute Prize at the ICCO Award where Edelman Italia is entered in the Short List.

As confirmation of the role played by Assorel in Italy in maintaining a high level of PR communication in a constantly evolving market, greetings came from New York from Elise Mitchell, new President of ICCO, and Maxim Behar participated in the evening, since last November Past President of ICCO. For the initiatives and successes achieved in the world of Publishing and Media in years of great transformations and complexity, Urbano Cairo, President and Chief Executive Officer of RCS MediaGroup, was awarded the Assorel Lifetime Achievement Award, now in its 11th edition and established in 2006 to reward the professional or public figure who, with their commitment and in their professional role, has witnessed the value of communication for the benefit of the company and the community They make up the Hall of Fame of the Assorel Lifetime Achievement Award to date: Laura Boldrini , Giuseppe Sala, Fabio Fazio, Piero Angela, Ferruccio de Bortoli, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Umberto Veronesi, Emma Bonino, Gianni Letta, Joaquìn Navarro-Valls.

Filomena Rosato, President of Assorel and President of FiloComunicazione, declares "The world of PR Communication recognizes itself in this Award and decrees its success together with the reference market which demands quality, responsibility, transparency, distinctive and distinct skills in a moment of great changes linked digital evolution and their impact on individual social behaviour. Public relations are by their intrinsic nature the glue of shared knowledge, the vital force of a karst river in the world of communication, today more and more perfect fusion and synthesis of different skills. Proof of this are the quality campaigns registered for this edition of the Award, rigorously evaluated by the Assorel Jury and by the Juries of other important international Awards”.

The quality jury presided over by Prof. Piero Dominici, professor at the University of Perugia, and composed of 16 managers, academics, professionals from the world of communication will judge the entries: Prof. Gianpaolo Azzoni (University of Pavia), Alessandro Beda, (Sodalitas), Giorgia Camandona (ItaliaOnline), Alessandro Cederle (L'Eco della Stampa), Donatella Consolandi (Confindustria Intellect), Giuliano Faliva Bracco), Bruna Migliazza, (The Ruling Companies Association) and Harvard Business (Review Italia), Maddalena Negrusz (Lego), Maria Carmela Ostillio (SDA Bocconi), Candida Paino (Pastificio Rana), Alessandra Piloni (Consumers' Forum), Enzo Rimedio (FE.RPI), Paolo Tedeschi, (Canon), Christian Tosolin (City of Trieste) , Alessandro Ubertis (Unicom).

The 2017 edition of the Assorel Award was enriched with two new categories – Public Affairs & Lobbying, Communication to stakeholders of the sustainability report – for a total of 10 Categories + 4 Special Awards and 29 registered campaigns. The evening dedicated to the Assorel Award was also an opportunity this year to turn the spotlight on two new initiatives: enhancing the social function of communication with the support of Assorel #AssorelFor the 1 Pencil for 1 Tree project of the No Profit organization Maisha Marefu Onlus; present with Carola Salvato (Havas Life) the birth of the Italian chapter of Global Women in Public Relations (GWPR), an independent organization on issues of female management in PR from all over the world reserved for female managers and entrepreneurs in agencies and companies In collaboration with L'Eco della Stampa and with the patronage of Confindustria Intellect, the direction of the event was entrusted to Andrea Beretta of Newton Lab.
