Assolombarda, collaboration with the Postal Police for corporate cybersecurity

Assolombarda, the association of industrialists of the Metropolitan City of Milan and of the Provinces of Lodi, Monza and Brianza and Pavia, has strengthened the collaboration with the Postal Police by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the aim of enhancing the enterprise cybersecurity. The signing took place today in the presence of Joseph Petronzi, Quaestor of Milan, Alessandro Scarabelli, General Manager of Assolombarda, e Tiziana Liguori, director of the Cyber ​​Security Operations Center.

The goal of the collaboration

The agreement, in continuity with what was already signed between the parties in 2017, has as its objective an ever greater prevention of cyber attacks and online fraud through a more capillary dissemination of IT security. In addition to the preventive and repressive element entrusted to the Postal Police, an important issue is that of the protection of IT infrastructures through shared standards and a strong investment in skills. In this field the role of Assolombarda becomes fundamental for proceed to the capillary diffusion in the Lombard territory of best practices to make companies aware of the risks of cybercrime, with positive effects also on the security of citizens' online transactions.

Il collaboration plan between the two parties yes spread over some fields such as: sharing and analyzing information to prevent and counter attacks or damage to the IT infrastructures of Assolombarda member companies; reporting of emergencies relating to vulnerabilities, threats and incidents on public networks; the identification and subsequent repression of the origin of attacks that target the technological infrastructures of companies; the sharing of a shared safety culture that includes awareness, training and skills.

Collaboration inspired by the principle of participatory security

The collaboration is inspired by the participatory security principle, from the point of view of a relationship narrower between scope public and private. The synergy between the two environments has led to the creation of the platform over the years “Cyber ​​Security Alliance” which has over 120 security contacts from as many companies, who receive timely information and constant updates on security threats and incidents from the postal police.

Our task is to raise awareness and support our companies in securing their digital assets, with constant commitment. However, I am pleased to recall that, among our companies, the sensitivity on this issue, not only of those that by their nature are more digital, is increasingly very high" he declared Alessandro Scarabelli, General Manager of Assolombarda.
