Assicurazioni, Generali launches cyber solutions for corporate and SME customers

Recognize, respond to and quickly recover from risks cyber security. With this objective the collaboration between Generali, Accenture e Vodafone to create an offer of cyber insurance services dedicated to corporate and SME customers. These solutions will be offered starting in 2022 globally starting in Europe, allowing for customization based on local market and customer preferences.

The initiative, which includes cyber risk assessments, simulations of Phishing and training programs, will allow Generali's customers to "increase their ability to ensure the rapid recovery of activities and to reduce the impacts for their organizations and towards third parties", reads a note from the insurance group.

In particular, Accenture will provide assessment and education services on IT risks (in multiple languages) and attack response for corporate and SMB customers globally. While Vodafone Business will focus on the SME market, offering incident response services following intrusions and managing contractual relationships with customers. In the end, Europ Assistance will provide global coordination and act as a point of contact for the corporate and SME segments.

Bruno Scaroni, Chief Transformation Officer of the Generali Group, commented: “Technology, consumer needs and cyber risks are evolving rapidly and the insurance sector must accelerate to seize new digital opportunities and respond to growing cybersecurity needs. As part of our 'Generali 2021' strategic plan, we have allocated over one billion euros to boost the Group's innovation and digital transformation in order to address these needs as well".

Just in line with the "Generali 2021" strategic plan, a year ago Generali and Accenture also created a j (“Group Operations Service Platform”) by leveraging cloud technologies and shared technology platforms to accelerate the Group's innovation and digital strategy.
