Ark, Atlas ready to relaunch against Anima

The auction unleashed around Ark. The Italian company active in the field of asset management, in fact, is in the sights of the Italian company Soul Holding (which aims to acquire 60%) and the London company Centrebridge (which would be satisfied with 40%), as well as the US Atlas Merchant Capital. According to rumors reported by Il Sole 24 Ore, the latter is considering the idea of reconsidering its offer.

The US group, which in recent days had presented a non-binding offer of 1 billion for 100% of the capital, is, in fact, seriously evaluating the possibility of buying less than 50% of the Italian company, on the decision of the CEO and founder Bob Diamond, who before founding Atlas had held top positions in Barclays, being overwhelmed by the Libor scandal.

The news, therefore, is that in order not to miss the opportunity to get their hands on Arca, Atlas would be ready to review its offer, setting the only condition for the purchase that of continuity of relationship in the marketing of Arca products for at least twenty years.

A condition that does not seem to frighten Arca's shareholders who, with regard to the auction that has been unleashed around the company, have taken a clear position: the company will be sold to the highest bidder.
