On 15 July 2013, the fourth tranche of the free share capital increase of Ansaldo Sts, approved by the extraordinary shareholders' meeting of 23 April 2010, will start, following which the company's capital will be increased from the current 80 million to 90 million through the issue of 20 million ordinary shares with a nominal value of 0,50 euro each.

The issue of the new shares will implement, for the 2013 financial year, the resolution of the extraordinary shareholders' meeting which approved a free share capital increase, for 50 million, through the issue of 100 million ordinary shares of the company, with a nominal value of 0,50 euro each, to be realized by 31 December 2014, in five annual tranches of an amount equal to 10 million each, represented by 20 million newly issued ordinary shares, through the allocation of reserves to capital. Ansaldo Sts also recalls in a note that the first tranche of the free capital increase, from 50 to 60 million, was carried out on 5 July 2010; the second tranche, from 60 to 70 million, was executed on 4 July 2011; the third tranche, from 70 to 80 million, was executed on 9 July 2012.

The 20 million newly issued shares covered by the fourth tranche will be assigned free of charge at the rate of one newly issued share for every 8 shares already held. The new shares will have regular entitlement and will be made available to those entitled through the authorized intermediaries adhering to the Monte Titoli SpA centralized management system on 18 July 2013, following the detachment of coupon no. 10 on 15 July 2013. Therefore, starting from this last date, the ordinary shares of Ansaldo STS will be listed 'ex right of assignment'. The Company has entrusted Mediobanca – Banca di Credito Finanziario SpA, an authorized financial intermediary, with the task of managing any non-multiple rights (the so-called fractions) that could arise during the assignment of the newly issued shares.

At the opening of Piazza Affari, the Ansaldo Sts share lost 0,74%, a 7,425 euro.
