Alerion, Fri-El to control

Three days after the closing of the takeover bid, the Bolzano-based group has collected shares of just over 3,6% of the capital.

Fri-El travels to control of Alerion. Three days after the closing of the takeover bid, the Bolzano-based group has collected shares of just over 3,6% of the capital, but the decisions of the other two significant shareholders of the wind power group, or F2i, could give a definitive direction to the game (with 16,03%) and Eolo Energia (22,84%), a holding controlled by Edison and by the same infrastructure fund.

Both are reflecting on the dossier – as always happens in Public Offers, the games will take place on the last day – but the orientation would be to raise cash and budget discrete capital gains. Fri-El, to date, controls 29,36% of Alerion following the partial takeover bid launched at the end of 2016 on 30% of the capital, which was opposed by the total offer of Eolo Energia at 2,46 euros.

The current shareholdings were born from these transactions, while in September Consob forced Fri-El to promote a total takeover bid after ascertaining a hidden pact with the shareholder Stafil for the appointment of the board of directors at the end of January meeting. Now the game seems to be drawing to a close with Fri-El who, thanks to the takeover bid launched at 3 euros per share, could rise well above 50% of the share capital. Even the performance of the Alerion share on the Stock Exchange does not seem to portend surprises, given that today it closed at 2,99 euros.
