The Bolognese summer school "Entrepreneurship in humanities" organized by the Golinelli Foundation has begun. Two events open to the public will host Christian Greco, director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin, and Mauro Felicori, general director of the Royal Palace of Caserta

The summer school in Entrepreneurship in humanities is starting

The first "Entrepreneurship in humanities" summer school begins today, for which two meetings open to the public are scheduled, with Christian Greco and Mauro Felicori as protagonists. The summer school is promoted by the Golinelli Foundation of Bologna, scheduled and will take place until 20 July 2018 at the Golinelli Arts and Sciences Center in Via Paolo Nanni Costa 14.

The first event to which it will be possible to register will be held on Wednesday 11 July, at 17.45 and Christian Greco, director of the Egyptian Museum of Turin, will hold a meeting on “What does it mean to be humanistic entrepreneurs in the public sector? The experience of the Egyptian Museum of Turin”, while on Friday 20 July, at 17.30, the general director of the Royal Palace of Caserta Mauro Felicori will talk about “Best practices in the management of the Italian cultural heritage: the virtuous case of the Royal Palace of Caserta”. Both appointments are free admission upon reservation by sending an email to artiescienze@fondazionegolinelli.it.

The summer school, under the scientific direction of Andrea Bonaccorsi, full professor of management engineering at the University of Pisa and expert in the economics of science and innovation, is aimed at university students under 35, undergraduates and master's graduates (no more than 3 years), doctoral students and research doctorates (or equivalent foreign qualifications) in humanities. After a selection among the 182 applications received from 15 Italian regions, 35 participants were chosen.

The summer school, divided into a two-week full-time course in which each day is organized into a frontal lesson and a laboratory one, was created with the intention of supporting students and scholars with a humanistic background in identifying new high-profile business opportunities innovative, promoting the acquisition of interdisciplinary skills deriving from the union between the humanistic tradition and the sociological, technological and economic disciplines.
