Acea closes the first quarter of 2012 with an improvement in resultsas required by the company's budget. Marco Staderini, CEO of Acea, said: “The results are up compared to the same period last year and in line with the budget forecasts”, said Staderini.
Shortly before the president Giancarlo Cremonesi he also said that the company expects to give good news soon to release over 50 million euros set aside for a dispute over the water tariffs claimed for the management of Ato5 and Gori. “Soon we think we will be able to give good news on Ato5 and Gori that have resolved themselves in a positive way”, said Cremonesi.
This provision resulted in the non-distribution of a dividend balance in 2011 after the deposit of 0,28 euros. For the next few years, Cremonesi said, the company expects to maintain "and possibly strengthen" the payout of 65% of distributable profit.
