SACE-Confapi agreement for the internationalization of SMEs

SACE and Confapi have signed an agreement aimed at supporting the internationalization processes of Italian SMEs

SACE and Confapi, the Italian confederation of small and medium-sized private industries, have finalized a collaboration agreement with the aim of facilitating access by SMEs to the insurance-financial products developed by SACE to compete on international markets.

Specifically, the agreement provides for the launch of "a series of joint technical and commercial initiatives to allow the more than 120.000 manufacturing SMEs associated with Confapi to orientate themselves in the SACE offer, take advantage of the dedicated offers for SMEs and choose the most suitable tools to your needs: from insurance against the risk of non-payment to the protection of foreign investments, from sureties to financial guarantees for internationalisation, to factoring services”.

Giovanni Castellaneta, President of SACE, underlined how “The criticality of the economic situation requires a stronger dialogue with businesses and concerted response actions. Collaboration with a company like Confapi is a substantial step forward in this direction: it brings us even closer to SMEs, the backbone of the Italian manufacturing fabric, at a time when SACE is strongly committed to their side, especially with dedicated offers of the PMI NO STOP initiative”. The President of Confapi, Maurizio Canasco, indicated exports and credit as two of the priorities for the development of Italian companies given the saturation of the domestic market; and identified the agreement with SACE as an important tool that fits into this growth perspective.
