Comment by Simone Bemporad, vice president of The Human Safety Net Foundation and Group Chief Communications & Public Affairs Office of the Generali Group

"Venice – stated Simone Bemporad – has always held a special place in the long history of Generali. The opening of The Human Safety Net Bookstore adds a new important chapter to our project, after the restoration of the Procuratie Vecchie and the opening to the public of the House of The Human Safety Net: reviving the Procuratie Vecchie as a shared heritage, making this space known to all, an open place, the Home of a network that can have relevance for the world, generate a positive impact for the community".
The management of the Bookstore, whose interior design is handled by the Migliore+Servetto studio, is entrusted to the historian Venetian bookshop La Toletta, a point of reference in the cultural life of the city for ninety years and which with this space offers a space where we can meet and where we can reflect on the social impact in a city that aspires to become the "World capital of sustainabilityà”, whose Foundation Venice World Capital of Sustainability has its headquarters in the Procuratie, like the Council of Europe and the Europa Nostra hub.
