However, brief thunderstorms may develop in the central Alps—particularly between Trentino-Alto Adige and the Dolomites. All this in a context that is already fully summery, with intense heat in the south and Sicily and highs of up to 35°C in inland areas, while temperatures will remain more moderate in the north.
Sunday 7 June The weather will be more stable across Italy, with widespread sunshine and only a few cloudy patches in the afternoon over the mountains, where brief, isolated thunderstorms are possible between the Dolomites and Cadore, in a summery atmosphere nonetheless. Temperatures will rise in central and northern Italy and Sardinia, while in the south and Sicily they will experience a slight decline, though still remaining at summer levels: highs generally between 25 and 31 degrees Celsius, with peaks of 32-33 degrees Celsius in Calabria and the major islands. In Rome and Florence, temperatures will touch 30 degrees Celsius.
