otb, the international fashion and luxury group that controls Diesel, Jil Sander, Maison Margiela, Marni and Viktor&Rolf, announces the completion of100% acquisition of Maison Viktor&Rolf, a historic reality of avant-garde Haute Couture founded in 1993 by designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren.
From majority shareholding to total control
The operation concludes a journey started in 2008, when Renzo Rosso's group acquired a majority stake of 51%, subsequently increased to 70% in 2019. The Group has progressively consolidated its presence in the Maison, accompanying its international development and growth in the high fashion segment.
In conjunction with the operation, it remains creative leadership confirmed by Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, already renewed last year for an additional five years. The two designers will continue as creative directors, contributing to the Maison's artistic and strategic activities.
Positioning in the fashion and art system
Viktor&Rolf is considered one of the Maisons active in theContemporary Haute Couture, with a production that also includes ready-to-wear, bridalwear, and eyewear. Over the years, the brand has also developed a presence in the cultural sphere, with exhibitions in international museums and institutions including the Met Museum in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Barbican Art Gallery in London, the Maxxi in Rome, and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta.
The Maison is also active in the sector of luxury fragrances through the collaboration with L'Oréal Luxe, which has been ongoing for over twenty years, which has led to the development and global distribution of perfumes such as Flowerbomb, Spicebomb and Bonbon.
