Fs Logistics strengthens its presence in the European logistics market with the entry into the management of the Antwerp Mainhub railway terminal of Antwerp. The company of the FS group has in fact signed a joint venture with Lineas, the leading private rail freight operator in Europe, giving life at Modalink, a NewCo that will manage the Belgian yard with 1,5 million tonnes per year and 2.500 trains.
The operation involves a initial participation of 30% by FS Logistix, with an option to grow up to 49%. The agreement is part of the Industrial Plan 2025-2029, which aims to strengthen intermodal hubs along the main European corridors.

The initiative aims to overcome the infrastructural limitations of Northern Italy, ensuring new access routes to the ports of Northern Europe and developing intermodal connections also on the east-west axis (France Romania/Poland).
