Cooking classes, signature breakfasts, family lunches, literary Cook Nights, listening bars, and guided tastings with experts: from October 24th to 26th, the National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan promises a grand celebration of the food of happiness with COOK Fest, the food festival organized annually by Corriere della Sera. From bread to pizza, from haute cuisine to street food, from pastry to wine, the public will be able to listen and learn from industry leaders, having the opportunity to taste what they discuss. The rich program of events over the three days of COOK Fest is structured so that every moment of the day is an opportunity for sharing: starting with signature breakfasts with top pastry chefs (Luigi Biasetto, Ernst Knam, Iginio Massari, Sal De Riso).
The day continues with Family Lunches, celebrating key figures in Italian cuisine, who take the stage with their family members or longtime collaborators (Enrico Bartolini, Martina Caruso, Moreno Cedroni, Caterina Ceraudo, Pino Cuttaia, Antonio Guida, Giancarlo Perbellini, and Emanuele Scarello). This is followed by delicious events like Guided Tastings, Giropizza (with Francesco Capece, Franco Pepe, and Mario Ventura), and Bombetta vs Supplì (with Alessandro Borghese and Niko Romito). The day's grand finale is the literary Cook Nights, in collaboration with the Molly Bloom creative writing academy: evening performances featuring writers and chefs in a unique tribute to the role of food in literature (Ugo Alciati, Massimo Bottura, Leonardo Colombati, Antonia Klugmann, Alessandro Piperno, Liliana Rampello, Riccardo Rossi, Walter Siti, Pascal, and Arcangelo Tinari). Among this year's new features, available for a fee and subject to reservation through Cookfest.it, is the Listening Bar, an immersive space for tasting fine wines, combining oenological excellence with deep local roots. The experience also includes a pairing of food and music: on one side, new dishes by Michelin-starred chefs Chicco Cerea, Enrico Croatti, and Davide Marzullo, and on the other, a wine playlist created specifically by Marisa Passera and Vic of Radio Deejay. A tasting menu for the three evenings will also include five exclusive dishes created by executive chef Edoardo Fumagalli at the one-Michelin-starred Locanda Margon temporary restaurant. Eighteen cooking courses, true masterclasses by top chefs: Paolo Amadori, Enrico Bartolini, Andrea Berton, Luigi Biasetto, Francesco Capece, Alfonso Caputo, Gianluca Fusto, Ernst Knam, Filippo La Mantia, Fulvio Marino, Davide Oldani, Giancarlo Perbellini, Antonella Ricci, Sal de Riso, Elio Sironi, Viviana Varese.
Completing the program, which is free to attend with prior registration on Cookfest.it, are the Pane&parole talks, featuring writers and experts (from Dario Bressanini to Alberto Grandi, from Beatrice Mautino to Luca Cesari) accompanied by the baking of master baker Davide Longoni. There will also be in-depth Food Talks, featuring business leaders and guests such as master pizza chef Enzo Coccia and chefs Eugenio Boer and Fatmata Binta. The exclusive Cook Market returns again this year with its Flower Bar corner, where visitors can purchase the finest food and flower products directly from the producers.
