Turin Industrial Union: Amma incorporates Ait and expands its representation in the technological systems sector

A new chapter opens in the evolution of But, the Turin association of mechanical companies, which, after integration into theTurin Industrial Union in 2021, it broadens its range of action by incorporating the plant engineering companies, mainly of a metalworking nature, of Air - Associazione Imprese di Impianti Tecnologico, also part of the Turin Industrial Union.

The shareholders' meetings of both associations approved the aggregation with effect from the beginning of 2024, through a merger by incorporation, the notarial formalization of which will be completed in March. Thanks to this operation, Amma maintains its name, expanding its representation activity to approximately 650 companies, with over 52 thousand employees.

“After having given life to the Industrial Union by conferring the staff and shares in the associated companies in what was previously called the Industrial Union, we are preparing for another step which demonstrates how Amma is the natural place for an ecosystem of similar and cohesive industrial activities - explains Stefano Serra, president of Amma -. With the plant engineering companies, in addition to the Ccnl, we have always shared the objective of representing the ideas of the industry and promoting support from the institutions. This merger will give new impetus to our association activities.”

Carlo Antonio Gandini, former president of Ait and now vice-president of Amma, expresses his satisfaction with the merger: “This operation is the result of long coordination work between the bureaus of both associations which have found the best solutions to ensure that the identity of the plant engineering companies, although smaller from a numerical and dimensional point of view, would find representation and space in this new reality".
