Tod's: green light to the increase for the purchase of Roger Vivier

The Tod's shareholders' meeting approved the 207,5 million euro capital increase for the acquisition of the Roger Vivier brand. 99,9% of the shareholders present voted in favour, equal to 71,485% of the share capital.

“We are satisfied and confident – said the chairman Diego Della Valle at the shareholders' meeting – and we are equipped to face 2016 and the years to come, taking into account the markets and all the situations that we have encountered for three seasons around the world. We are positively intentioned and believe we will make the best of it.”

Della Valle did not say too much about a possible listing of the Roger Vivier brand, limiting himself to saying that any decision “will always be taken in the interest of the group and not of individual shareholders. Make your own deductions."

Furthermore, the president of Tod's is not worried by the problems of the Chinese economy: “China – he underlined – if extraordinary events don't happen, in the second half of the year it can only improve. It is a market to be built, with one and a half billion people, we are only at the beginning”. For Tod's "everything is proceeding according to plan, we do long-term operations", he concluded.
