Street art: an echo mural on the Milan canals for the latest Peugeot SUV

The new Peugeot SUV model, advertised in the city where these cars are damaged. Reverse advertising?

Street art: an echo mural on the Milan canals for the latest Peugeot SUV

A mural on the canals to raise awareness of the new Peugeot E-2008stellantis chooses the street art to launch the new vehicle and does so starting from Milan. The design aspires to be an example ecological urban enhancement.

The car in question is an SUV, "compact and spirited" says the manufacturer. The company entrusted the image work to the Italian artist Erics One on a project created by Omnicom for Peugeot Engine. It's all part of a multimedia campaign that will last a few weeks.

The SUV is electric, but it is still a type of car that excites the imagination and demonstrative actions against the owners of these cars. In Bologna, Rome, Naples, Florence, in Milan itself, there are organizations that damage cars very frequently. It is presented as form of disobedience- certainly not acceptable – for the climate and the environment.

They say they are dangerous machines, unsuitable for congested cities, that they pollute. Here we are talking about a car with an electric motor, whose dimensions and relative weight are in any case indigestible for protesters. Advertising can become a coincidence.

Persuasive art

We entrusted the mural (visible until November 21st) to the abstract mood of Erics One, to also speak to the new generations with a fresh and light style. It depicts a city of the future, whose "foundations are harmony and eco-sustainability, symbolized by a wind turbine and natural elements that recall the link between man and the natural world". A work created with Airlite paints, known for reducing air pollutants.

Murals are quality artistic expressions. The car will also be sold through commercials, posters and billboards. Peugeot is a great brand.

Since research has spread in the USA according to which SUVs and pick ups cause more accidents than other cars, accidents have also begun to be classified in Italy based on off-road vehicles.

Milan has become the capital of this particular type of rebellion. They are acts of vandalism. The mural in another city would not have given rise to thought. Here Peugeot-Stellantis positively represents a car model sold all over the world. The artist challenges particular prejudices that need direct forms of communication so as not to ruin fair battles with illogical behavior. Art can also be persuasive.
