Where's Banca supports four initiatives of social housing in Umbria for the construction of 400 apartments between Perugia, Foligno and Gubbio. The credit institution announces it in a note, specifying that the operation takes place through a loan from 16 million euros to Asci (Abitare Sostenibile Centro Italia), a real estate investment fund with social aims managed by Prelios.
The goal is "to respond to housing needs - reads the note - thanks to the construction of housing which, in most cases, will be leased at controlled rents compared to the free market".
70% of the share capital of the Asci Fund is controlled by the Fondo Investimenti per l'Abitare (Fia), which in turn is managed by Cdp Investimenti Sgr, a subsidiary of the Cassa Depositi e Prestiti group.
The FIA has a total budget of over 2 billion euros, made available by the CDP, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, banks, insurance companies and social security institutions. The purpose of the Fund is to build over 20 social housing and 8.500 beds in university and temporary residences when fully operational.
The other main partners of Asci are local foundations of banking origin, including the Cassa di Risparmio di Perugia and Foligno foundations, the regional financial institution Gepafin, as well as private real estate operators and local cooperators.
The four projects financed in Umbria are the following:
- The Courts of Perugia, Ex Manifattura Tabacchi (Perugia) for approximately 28.500m211 of regeneration of the old tobacco factory for residential use (19 apartments and XNUMX commercial units and offices);
- Insula Viva, Bastia Umbra (Perugia) for approximately 27.000 m123 (XNUMX real estate units;
- Gentle living, Ex Ospedale (Foligno) for approximately 7.000m60 of regeneration of the old “San Giovanni Battista” hospital for residential use (5 apartments and XNUMX commercial units);
- Gubbio for 5.300m52 (1 real estate units and XNUMX commercial unit).
