The 2024-2025 Serie A is ready to start on August 17th with a calendar full of exciting matches. The season, which will end in spring 2025, will see Dazn broadcast all the races, while Sky and TimVision will offer additional packages. Here's everything you need to know

Serie A 2024-2025 kicks off: dates, times and how to see it

After the conclusion of the major football tournaments (European and Copa America), and a few days before the end of the Olympics, great football returns with thestart of the Serie A championship, the hunt for champion Inter begins. There 2024-2025 season start Saturday 17 August 2024, starting an intense journey that will continue until late spring 2025. The summer of 2025 will offer some rest to the footballers, as there are no major tournaments scheduled for the major national teams, with the World Cup taking place in 2026 instead. Dazn will broadcast all the Serie A matches exclusively, while Sky will offer three matches per day co-exclusive with Dazn. Dazn matches are also available in streaming on the TimVision platform.

The 2024-2025 Serie A calendar

The 2024-2025 Serie A will follow a rather tight calendar, with the first day set for the weekend of 17-19 August 2024. As in previous seasons, the championship will be divided into 38 days, with the conclusion scheduled for May 25, 2025.

There are no winter breaks planned: the championship will continue without interruptions during the Christmas holidays, with matches scheduled for 22 and 29 December 2024 and 5 January 2025. The only breaks will be the international ones, corresponding to the Fifa windows for national team commitments: 8 September, 13 October , November 17, 2024 and March 23, 2025.

As regards the midweek shifts, only one is planned for this season, which will take place on Wednesday 30 October 2024. The last two days of the championship (18 and 25 May 2025) will see all the matches played at the same time to guarantee the regularity of the tournament, with any advance requests for teams involved in the finals of European competitions.

The first three days of the championship

In the first three days of the 2024-2025 Serie A championship, the matches will be scheduled mainly in the evening to avoid the summer heat. The championship begins on Saturday 17 August with Genoa-Inter at 18pm.

The 1st day continues on Sunday 18 August with two races at 20pm, four advances on Saturday (two at 45pm and two at 18pm), two advances on Sunday at 30pm, and two postponements on Monday (one at 20pm and one at 45pm). Matchday 18 follows a similar pattern, with the main matches on Sunday 30 August. The 18rd day, scheduled for Sunday 30st September, includes previews for Friday and Saturday, in addition to the Sunday evening meetings. The 20rd day will already be particularly rich in big matches: Inter-Atalanta (30 August 2024, 20 pm), Lazio-Milan (45 August 31, 2024 pm) and Juventus-Roma (20 September 45, 1 pm) are three high-level matches that they promise a great show.

Serie A: where to see it and how much it costs

As in previous years and for the entire next five years, until the 2029th, Dazn holds the rights to all 380 Serie A matches. The championship round calendar will remain unchanged, with Dazn broadcasting all 10 matches of each day, 3 of which are co-exclusive with Sky.

Sky and Dazn, therefore, will remain the main broadcasters of Serie A, while TimVision will offer a package that includes Dazn and other sports content. The choice of subscription will depend on personal preferences and available budget. Let's now see the subscription offers available:

Dazn

Dazn is the main rights holder of Serie A, broadcasting all 380 matches of the season. The available subscriptions are:

  • Dazn Standard: €34,99 per month with annual commitment (monthly installments), €359 per year with prepayment (€29,92 per month), or €44,99 per month without constraints. This plan allows simultaneous viewing on two registered devices, as long as they are connected to the same network.
  • Dazn Plus: €59,99 per month with annual commitment (monthly installments), €599 per year with prepayment (€49,91 per month), or €69,99 per month without constraints. With Dazn Plus it is possible to watch matches on two devices registered even in different networks.

TimVision

TimVision offers a package that includes full access to Dazn content, therefore all of Serie A and also Serie B, as well as La Liga, Italian and European basketball and volleyball, and the Eurosport channels. The subscription costs 24,99 euros per month for the first three months, and then goes to 34,99 euros per month.

Sky and Now

Sky broadcasts three matches co-exclusively with Dazn for each Serie A matchday: Saturday evening, Sunday afternoon and Monday evening. The Sky TV+Sky Calcio subscription starts from 14,90 euros per month for 18 months. Dazn customers can also add the remaining matches to their Sky subscription for a supplement of 5 euros per month.

Now, Sky's streaming platform, offers the same Sky TV+Sport+Football package for 14,99 euros per month with a 12-month commitment.
