The Palazzo Braschi Museum of Rome is preparing to open its doors again to host 'Connections to the museum 22: from Classical to Jazz' on Saturday 2 July. The excellent collaborations with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and the Embassy of Israel will offer visitors a new interesting musical interaction between different cultures that will see the elegance of classical music merge with the famous notes of songs taken from the great American musicals the energetic charge of international jazz.
The public will be able to access the Museum from 20pm to 24am (last admission at 23pm) and freely walk through the rooms that compose it, allowing themselves to be fascinated by its wonderful works of art, including those featured in the Piranesi exhibition. The museum visit and the cultural entertainment organized for the occasion can be enjoyed by purchasing the entrance ticket for the symbolic cost of one euro, while the concerts scheduled in the entrance courtyard will be accessible free of charge.
During the evening, the Courtyard will come alive, in collaboration with the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, with the performance of the UnicaVox Ensemble, a formation that will re-propose some of the songs made famous by the cinema and songs brought to success on Broadway that have become common heritage of all fans of this fascinating musical genre, from 'Singing in the rain' to 'New York New York'. This will alternate, in collaboration with the Embassy of Israel, with the Yotam Silberstein Quartet, an unprecedented group composed of the Israeli talent Yotam Silberstein and three talented musicians from the Italian jazz scene: Andrea Rea (piano), Luca Fattorini (double bass), Adam Pache (drums). Inside the Hall of Honour, however, classical music concerts by the Botticelli Quartet will be held with two different musical programs: one focused on Mozart and the other with pieces by Schumann, Nardini and Sibelius.
Classical music will once again be the star of the free event organized in collaboration with the Roma Tre Orchestra at the Carlo Bilotti Orangery Museum in Villa Borghese on Sunday 23 July. At 17.00 the concert The clarinet protagonist will be staged with the duo of musicians composed by Gianluigi Del Corpo (clarinet) and Diego Procoli (piano) who will perform a program with music by Brahms, Lutoslawski and Poulenc.
The initiatives are promoted by Roma Capitale, Department of Cultural Growth - Capitolina Superintendency for Cultural Heritage with the organization of Zètema Progetto Cultura. The programming is the result of collaboration with important cultural institutions of the city such as: Casa del Jazz, Fondazione Musica per Roma, Teatro di Roma, Fondazione Teatro dell'Opera, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and with the Orchestras of Roma Tre University and Sapienza University From Rome.
Friday, July 21st will be the last day to participate in the second edition of the Museum Social Club – Weekend Edition, the free contest dedicated to emerging artists between the ages of 18 and 30 active in dance, music, and theater. The program presented by the Ensemble UnicaVox is a journey into the North American musical world of the 900th century. The public will have the opportunity to listen to pieces by important authors such as Gershwin and Bernstein and together with them get to know the many American cultural souls represented by those known. Songs made famous by the cinema and songs brought to success on Broadway that have become the common heritage of all fans of this fascinating musical genre. The event proposed during the evening at Palazzo Braschi will be a foray into the musical cinema of the 50s of the last century and will recall the time of great Hollywood through immortal music and words such as those of Singing in the rain interpreted at the time by Gene Kelly, There's no business like show business, Maria and Tonight taken from West Side Story. And then again Old man river, Over the rainbow, Hello Dolly, New York New York.
Botticelli Quartet

A program dedicated to the genius from Salzburg which will include the performance of two of the six Quartets composed by Mozart during his stay in Milan between 1772 and 1773. It seems that Mozart composed these pages in the moments of pause from composing the opera Lucio Sulla. The program closes with the first of the three Divertimenti, composed in 1722 in Salzburg in the period of preparation for the trip to Italy.
Botticelli Quartet

J. Sibelius: Andante Festivo; P. Nardini: Quartet no. 2; R. Schumann: Kinderszenen op. 15 (transcr. Godard).
The programme, which opens with the performance of Jean Sibelius' Andante Festivo, includes the performance of the Quartet in C major by the Italian Pietro Nardini, Tuscan violinist and composer. The program closes with the performance of Childhood Scenes by Robert Schumann, transcribed for string quartet by the French violinist and composer Benjamin Godard for the publisher Durand. It is a series of short pieces inspired by childhood reminiscences, written for small children by a grown-up child.
Yotam Silberstein Quartet

Yotam Silberstein has always been considered a prodigy in the Israeli jazz scene and from a very young age he performed alongside the most important musicians of his country. At the age of 21 he took part in Umbria Jazz and managed to carry out an important tour in Europe and the Middle East. In 2005 he moved to New York and after receiving a scholarship at the prestigious New School he took first place in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Guitar Competition. Considered an exceptional talent, capable of warming up his impeccable technique with an extraordinary ability to range between the most diverse genres, Silberstein boasts collaborations with the likes of Dee Dee Bridgewater, Al Jarreau, Janis Siegel, Monty Alexander, Mark Gross, Claudio Roditi, Spike Willner, Antonio Hart, David Sanborn, Roy Hargrove, Charles McPherson, George Coleman, and Latin artists such as Toninho Horta and Paquito D'Rivera. His latest musical rehearsals were alongside the John Patitucci trio with whom he recorded "Irmaos De Fe" and in a quartet with the pianist Aaron Goldberg, his companion in many concerts. Back from a triumphant tour in Japan and from performances in the most prestigious clubs in New York, Yotam Silberstein will perform at the Palazzo Braschi Museum in Rome together with a formation composed of three highly talented Italian musicians: Andrea Rea on piano, Francesco Puglisi on double bass and Adam Pache on drums.
