In the next few days, starting from Wednesday 11 December, snow could also fall on the plains in the North. The union between cold air, originating from the northeastern quadrants, and a low pressure vortex on the upper Tyrrhenian Sea, it will whiten Piedmont and the entire central-western Alpine Arc. On Friday 13th, however, intense Atlantic perturbation is expected throughout the territory, with strong winds from the Mistral, Libeccio and Ponente, bringing the waves to exceed 6 meters in height on all the western coasts. During the night the precipitation will move towards the Northeast, focusing on lower Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and upper Veneto. Temperatures will remain low, even close to zero, bringing snow to a large part of the Valpadana.

Although the month of November was characterized by rainfall and bad weather throughout Italy, the beginning of December seems to be much calmer, with rather limited first frosts in the North. However, radical climate changes are expected in the coming days.

Not only the North will undergo these changes, because days characterized by wind, storms and storms also for the South. According to iLMeteo.it, the strong Mistral winds, which have hit the western basins in recent days, will be replaced by the Tramontana and the Bora, while rains and thunderstorms will hit Abruzzo and Molise, where the snow will fall above 1000 meters . New thunderstorms and storms are expected for the center, especially for Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio.
