The Marches launch the portal of fine truffles and rely on Roberto Mancini as a coach

On the eve of the opening of the hunting season, a portal was launched www.marcheterraditartufi.it which puts territories and operators in the truffle chain from Acqualagna to Pergola online with indications on where to look, where to buy, where to taste, where to participate. The goal is to increase the economic, tourist and working potentials that revolve around the truffle.

The Marche Region takes the field to promote one of the leading products of its renowned gastronomy: His Majesty the truffle. And he relies, just to stay in football jargon, a Roberto Mancini the miracle man of the Italian national team at the European football championships, chosen as a testimonial of the challenge that the "Marche" team wants to take on a national and international level promoting, through the truffle, territory, economy, environment and food and wine.

Meanwhile, the region is recognized among the major producers and exporters of truffles in the world in the four species: white, precious black, summer black white. In short, there is something for all tastes and for all seasons.

With 13.000 registered prospectors moreover, the Marches are at the top of the ranking of the Italian regions for the highest number of quarrymen with a production of about 50 tons of fine truffles per year. A veritable army of truffle hunters throughout the season which runs from the last Sunday of September to 31st December. The most valuable and precious white one, loved by great chefs for excellent preparations, stands on values ​​according to the pieces of 150 € up to 300 € per bed.  The activity of truffle hunter is therefore highly profitable and can represent a great employment opportunity for old and new generations.

Starting from these bases, the Marche Region is now launching the new portal marcheterraditartufi.it with which it intends to spread and enhance even more an agri-food excellence that has conquered tables and markets all over the world and at the same time promote an action of protection and enhancement of agri-food and environmental issues.

Made up of four sections, the new portal allows the visitor to range from information on the various types, to the places to visit, from the choice of events to follow to the possibility of making purchases in the historic local companies specialized in the trade of fresh and processed products. They click on "Find him" information on the various species of truffles, on the seasonality of the habitat, on the places where they can be searched and on the methods of conservation are found. Other voice e “Taste it”, the section dedicated to restaurants where you can taste truffles in places hosting a national event. There is then “Buy It” where you can find all the useful information to trace the truffle traders divided by territory. In the end, “live it” a real invitation to get to know the truffle cities of the Marche region with their history and the calendar of events held throughout the year. In short, marcheterraditartufi.it puts territories and operators in the truffle chain online in order to facilitate the exchange of information and increase its visibility and dissemination and promote the main trade fairs in the sector.

The new portal, easily accessible to citizens and tourists, is a window that opens throughout the territory to learn about the excellence of the truffle and the fairs and market exhibitions scheduled from Acqualagna to Amandola, from Apecchio to Fossombrone, to Pergola, Rocca Fluvione to Sant'Angelo in Vado.
