After its debut at the Gallerie d'Italia in Turin in 2024 and the stop at the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Palermo, the exhibition arrives in Vicenza with around 80 photographs, including three unpublished ones, which tell the story of Cristina Mittermeier, photographer, marine biologist and activist. For years, the artist has explored the beauty and fragility of our planet: landscapes, changing wildlife, and the cultures and traditions of communities living in harmony with nature.
The itinerary is divided into three thematic areas: The underwater world, the terrestrial world, and tribal peoples, and is inspired by the concept of enoughness: the awareness of what is "enough" to live in balance with the global ecosystem. A profound reflection on sustainability and the need to rethink our relationship with the planet's resources.
Cristina Mittermeier's photographs remind us that human beings do not live in isolation, but are part of an interconnected network. Responsibly using the planet's limited resources is essential to humanity's future: the health of the oceans, in particular, directly influences the climate, the air we breathe, and the food we eat. Every community is part of the global ecosystem, and today's decisions help shape tomorrow. In this sense, the "great wisdom" of the past represents a valuable guide for addressing future challenges.

#INSIDE free and open to the public
The exhibition will be complemented by a rich program of activities: educational workshops for schools, thematic tours for the public, family labs, and a series of #INSIDE meetings, free and open to the public. The program kicked off with a special talk with Cristina Mittermeier, held on Thursday, October 2nd in collaboration with National Geographic: a unique opportunity to hear the voice of one of the most influential photographers and environmental activists, and to reflect on the concept of enoughness as a key to rethinking our place in the global ecosystem.
