JP Morgan: CEO Jamie Dimon confirmed for another 5 years

61-year-old Jamie Dimon will remain at the helm of Jp Morgan for another five years. It was the same CEO and president of one of the main American and world banks who announced the news in a press release.

Dimon was named CEO of JP Morgan for the first time in 2005. In recent years he has led the bank to continue profit record after the long period of crisis due to the global financial crash of 2008.

Simultaneously with the confirmation of Dimon, the group communicated two promotions, thus ensuring continuity in the change process desired by the group. The succession plan remains the "number one priority", unlike what happens in Italy where about half of the listed companies - in the light of a recent investigation – does not appear to have a succession plan for top management.

Dimon praised the "skill, character and intellect" of the two new top managers who will be co-presidents and co-operating directors of Jpm. This is the 55-year-old Daniel Pinto, CEO of the Corporate & Investment Bank division, and 59-year-old Gordon Smith, CEO of the Consumer & Community Banking division

The two will report directly to Dimon, with whom they will "work closely" to exploit the bank's "key" opportunities.
