The manager arrives at the Dutch bank after three years spent at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena – Previously Bragadin spent 11 years at Vodafone.

To grow ING in the Italian market by focusing on innovation and customer experience. These are the keywords around which the mandate of Marco Bragadin is structured, who from 1 October 2016 will assume the role of CEO of ING Bank Italia, a branch of the Dutch group which in Italy is divided into the Wholesale Banking business, present in our country since 1979, and in the ING Direct Retail business, launched in 2001.

Bragadin joins ING after three years spent at Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, where he currently holds the position of Director of Retail Banking and Distribution. In this role his responsibilities include defining strategy, client approach and commercial activities for retail, corporate and private clients. Bragadin is also responsible for innovation and channel management, including branches, internet, contact centers and ATMs.

Before joining Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena, Bragadin spent 11 years at Vodafone Group PLC. His roles have included the Business Development Directorate for some geographical macro-areas and, from 2007 to 2012, the role of CEO of TeleTu Spa in Italy. Previous experience at Vodafone, that in Boston Consulting Group, where Bragadin began his professional career.

Bragadin holds a degree in Economics from the University of Bologna, a PhD in Financial Economics from the University of Bergamo and an MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business. As CEO of ING Bank Italia, Bragadin will report directly to Aris Bogdaneris, member of the Amsterdam MBB and Head of Challengers & Growth Markets.
