According to the association, in fact, in the current year the sector will register 39,4 billion dollars in profits against the 36,3 billion estimated last December thanks to revenues of 709 billion dollars and a net margin of 5,6%.

For the air transport industry it would be the fifth consecutive year of growth, after the 35,3 billion profits recorded in 2015. More than half of the profits expected in 2016 will come from the North America (22,9 billion), while African companies should record overall losses of 500 million dollars.

The growth in profits will be mainly due to the decline in the price of Petroleum, with a forecast of USD 45 per barrel (Brent) compared to USD 53,9 in 2015. Passenger traffic is expected to grow by 6,2% compared to 2015.
