Golf, Molinari is playing a world championship in China

World match this week in China for Francesco Molinari, which plays the World Golf Championships in Shanghai, a tournament that is part of a mini circuit of four competitions common to all tours and lower, in importance, only to the majors.

At the Sheshan International Golf Club until Sunday, 78 competitors are on the field for a prize pool of ten million dollars. The field includes seven of the top ten players in the world order of merit: number one Brooks Koepka, number two Dustin Johnson, number three Justin Rose, 5 Rory McIlroy, 6 Molinari, 10 Jason Day. Title defender Patrick Reed , while another Italian, Andrea Pavan, will also make his debut in this prestigious context.

For Molinari it is the eighth participation in a race he won in 2010. The Turinese, who currently leads the European money list, aims to accumulate more points in view of the final of the circuit in Dubai, in November although at the moment his lead seems difficult to fill. For Francesco it would be the culmination of an extraordinary season, in which he won three tournaments, including a major and established himself as leader of the European Ryder Cup team.

The blue plays in the last start, with two stars like McIlroy and Dustin Johnson.
