Euro 2012: Italy drawn in group C with world champions Croatia and Trap Ireland

Fair draw in Kiev for the national team: Van Basten's hands were reserved for us by Spain (which we will face immediately in the first match, on June 10 in Gdansk) but we avoided the iron group with Germany, Holland, Portugal and Denmark. Italy will play all matches in Poland. The final is scheduled for July 1 in Kiev

Euro 2012: Italy drawn in group C with world champions Croatia and Trap Ireland

Neither the iron group, nor the best possible group. Always thinking exclusively on paper, Italy did halfway well. The (little) skilled hands of Marco Van Basten draw us together with Spain, but at least we avoid the loose cannons of the other bands: the other two opponents of group C (which will be played in Poland) are still difficult Croatia and, look who we see again, theIreland by Trapattoni.

Derby avoided instead with Capello's England, which happens in a group, the D, equally balanced, where the top seed is Ukraine but France and Sweden are lurking there.

Il the iron group instead fell to Holland, in Group B with none other than Germany, Portugal and Denmark. Primarily the two favorites for the final victory, the luxury outsider and a still valid team like the Scandinavian one.

Everyone's dream, including Prandelli, would have been to finish in the group A: a real stroke of luck for Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic and Greece, who never in other groups would have had concrete hopes of going through, so instead they have two passes available.

The matches in groups A and C will be played in Poland (Gdansk, Poznan, Krakow and Warsaw which will host the inaugural race on June 8), while those of B and D in Ukraine (Lviv, Kharkhiv, Donetsk and Kiev, which will host the grand final on July 1).

The Azzurri will make their debut on 10 June against Spain at 18 in Gdansk, then on the 14th at the same time but in Poznan they will face Croatia and finally the derby with Trap, also scheduled in Poznan on 18 June at 20.45
