According to INPS data presented yesterday by Welfare Minister Elsa Fornero to the Labor Commission of the Chamber, there would be another 8.900 so-called redundant workers who will accrue the right to a pension between 2013 and 2014, and which therefore must be safeguarded to prevent them from being left without income. The cost of the operation is approximately 440 million.

According to one source work is underway to invalidate the bipartisan bill which envisaged a more substantial expansion of the number of expatriates and a return to old-age pensions, because it is not financially sustainable and rejected by the Accounting Office due to lack of coverage.
