More solidarity from the Generali group for the coronavirus emergency. Among the many initiatives, it is the turn of Banca Generali which allocates 1 million euros to support the country in this difficult moment: Gian Maria Mossa's institution has in fact donated 250 thousand euros to the Italian Red Cross for the purchase of two mobile resuscitation units, and another 750 thousand euros in favor of healthcare facilities involved in the fight against Covid-19. Not only that: Banca Generali, in parallel, is also carrying out fundraising among employees and financial advisors, with the company doubling the amount raised. This initiative is also dedicated to the memory of Gianni Alitta, a private banker from Vigevano who died prematurely precisely because of the virus.
"The health emergency that we are experiencing - commented the CEO of Banca Generali Gian Maria Mossa - stirs the consciences of each of us and urges us to put all possible efforts into the field to support those who are on the front lines of battle every day against this terrible virus. Solidarity in the first place but also a constructive spirit to try to direct ideas to stimulate the challenges of recovery. In fact, we are working on several fronts, both by stimulating innovative solutions to bring private savings closer to businesses, and with charitable initiatives and closeness to people in the area. In this context, alongside the emergency fund put in place by the Generali Group, we have gathered the participation and sensitivity of colleagues directing them towards the project in favor of the Red Cross which sees us involved together with the Bank, also in memory of a dear fellow consultant who unfortunately left us in recent weeks due to illness".
Banca Generali's initiative adds to those already implemented by the Generali Group which, through a ceiling of 100 million euro dedicated to emergencies, has already contributed to the purchase of respirators, masks and other medical material.
