Leader of the French May '68 and then for twenty years (from 1994 to 2014) MEP for the Greens on a line of reflective environmentalism, Daniel Cohn-Bendit he has always been attentive to Italian political developments and he is also doing so on this occasion, after the surreal controversies between the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the opposition. In an interview with “la Repubblica” Cohn-Bendit shows that he has clear ideas and does not mince his words. His warnings are above all for the left, a part of which is unable to understand "the urgency of a political awakening to prevent the'Europe finds itself unarmed in the face of Russian aggression”. This is why military defense plans are reasonable and “Macron is right to propose security guarantees and even the sending of troops to Kiev” while “the pacifism of some in Italy and Spain is equivalent to asking theUkraine to submit to Putin”.
