Negative signals from Chinese manufacturing. The PMI index for June fell to 50,1 points, against 50,8 in May. This was stated by the New China agency. The figure is in line with market expectations, but it is the lowest reading in the last four months.
In particular, according to analysts, the drop in new orders (from 51,8 in May to 50,4 in June) indicates a further slowdown in the growth rate of the Chinese economy.
In any case, the index remains above the threshold of 50 points, which marks the boundary between expansion and contraction.
